Te Kauwhata Tavern, TE KAUWHATA, Waikato

Went to the TK Trust for a meal with my wife daughter and mother as have been there in the past, My mum had heard good things of late, how unfortunate that our experience was far from good, actually totally piss poor. When we arrived there were maybe 5 tables seated with 3 of them eating, 3 more reserved. were not told of any significant delays even though we had not booked. WE HAD TO WIAT 1 HOUR 50 MIN FOR OUR MEAL AFTER ORDERING. 2 of the tables were served half an hour before us even though they arrived half an hour after us. WTF. When asked the matrade what was going on all she could do was make piss poor excuses. She did not give a F***. Do not eat here unless you are fasting. Food was well below average porkbelly had no crackle on 1 piece and could not eat other piece,pork was over cooked and 1 piece chewy to the point of not being able to finish. Absolutely poor hospitality avoid, enter and eat at own risk.
