The Last Post is situated at the gateway to Oamaru’s Victorian Precinct while boasting the modern comforts and hospitality of today. We are “The Local” for many of Oamaru’s citizens, a place to meet for a drink or to dine. During the height of the tourist season we are host to many international travellers as they enjoy all that Oamaru has to offer.

Our menu offers an excellent selection to satisfy most palettes & of course we cater for any special dietary requirements. We take pride in sourcing as much produce as we can from our local market but also use a variety of other products pastas, olives and oils from Italy is just an example. Because our focus is hospitality and food we have blackboard menus offering a variety of innovative tastes from our talented team over and above our traditional menu just to keep life interesting!
