Built in 1885, the historic Wedderburn Tavern is situated in the heart of the Maniototo Plain on the Central Otago Rail Trail. Once the preferred stop-over for coaches and wagons, it is now the favourite destination for Rail Trail cyclists.

Located close to the summit and at the halfway point of the Rail Trail, Wedderburn is the perfect stop to explore and experience the uniqueness of Central Otago.

We offer southern hospitality, complemented by genuine country style menu and award-winning Central Otago wines. We also offer the best coffee on the Trail according to feedback
